Certess N is an excellent hard chrome replacement for many applications.

Certess N Chromium Nitride tribological coating is an
exceptionally hard, (1800 HV) PVD film. Its structure is ultra-high
density, nano-scale grains. Its thin film deposit – typically 1 to 5 µm –
preserves the dimensional integrity of processed parts.

Chromium Nitride PVD coatings provide temperature resistance
up to 700°C – higher than titanium nitride coatings. Like most HEF
PVD coatings, Certess N is chemically inert.

Applications include plastic and rubber molds, and mechanical
components requiring high resistance to abrasive wear,
sliding wear and chemical corrosion.
