relative motion – is critical to understanding and optimizing surface
performance and service life.
Expertise in Tribology produces critical information regarding the failure
mechanisms of mechanical components, resulting in solutions that increase

The H.E.F. Group:
- Has more than a half-century of experience in Tribology
and Tribology studies. - Operates advanced, “world class” testing facilities, including
more than 50 simulators and test benches for reproducing
and evaluating an infinite number of kinematic, functional
and other conditions. - Uses a full range of surface analytical techniques, including SEM,
EDAX, and Fluorescence X. These techniques generate detailed
information on the mechanical behavior of materials and
components in their working environment.
